This picture was taken approximatly 7 months ago when the Russian Prime Minister attended a regional summit and visited President Duterte at Malacañan Palace
On the agenda was the continued detention of a Russian national in the BJMP facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Metro Manila. During the meeting President Duterte made numerous commitments in particular that the Russian detainee will be ” Detained in a Comfortable House and not in the country’s overcrowded jails.

President Duterte also went on to say, “I would just like to say that we have a working functional justice system here and they will get a fair trial and that they will be detained in a comfortable house, whether (the allegations are) true or not, we will find out but I will see to it that they are treated fairly and no additional stress on their person that will happen.”
The reality to-date is 7 months after President Duterte made these comments to the Russian Prime Minister, the Russian national a certain Yuri Kirdyushkin remains in BJMP under extremely harsh conditions.
President Duterte during the same meeting thanked the Russians for supplying numerous weapons that he said helped defeat ISIS inspired militants in the City of Marawi.
If after 7 months the commitment to the Prime Minister of a friendly nation has not been kept, what hope do we have of this administration keeping its commitments to the average citizen?
